Christine Kendall purchased H.E. Callahan in early November of 2015. She had been a project manager with the company for 7 years, managing projects such as the Androscoggin Hospice House, the St. Mary's Medical Office Building, and the W.G. Mallett School. She left H.E. Callahan to work at MaineGeneral Medical Center during the construction of the Alfond Center for Health. After construction was completed, she took a brief position as the COO for Dirigo Capital Advisors. She then started her own Commercial Property Management company (GMK Construction & Property Management Services, Inc)with offices in Augusta, which will take on the H.E. Callahan name. The primary focus in Augusta is the complete conversion of the old Augusta hospital, now called the Ballard Center, to 250,000 sf. of Commercial Office Space. Christine has 20 years of construction experience and a particular expertise with contracting delivery methods. Christine received a BS in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,is LEED Certified and is the former co-owner and Editor in Chief of Kayak Magazine.
Brian joined the H.E. Callahan team as a Construction Project Manager in October 2015. He has been active in various construction disciplines for nearly 20 years. His experience ranges from custom homes and finish carpentry to commercial mechanical systems. While working in the custom home business, Brian also gained valuable experience in Property Management. He has the ability to achieve a high quality finished product in Construction, and deliver complete customer satisfaction for Property Management clients. Brian received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
John E. Blanchard, LEED AP

John Blanchard has been with H.E. Callahan Construction Co. since 1993. He assumed the role of VP of Operations in 1994. John has been active in the construction industry for over 30 years with leadership roles in many complex construction projects throughout the State of Maine. Currently, he is involved in project management, estimating, operations management and consulting. As a consultant, he has performed conceptual estimating, value engineering, and design-build services for both owners and architects. With his vast knowledge of current means and methods of construction practices, John works closely with the project team to ensure the projects follow the highest quality standards while using the newest technology.
Jeffrey W. Ohler, PE
Jeff Ohler has been with H. E. Callahan Construction Co. since 1983 and has over 40 years of construction experience on a variety of construction projects and contracting delivery methods. He started with the company as a project manager and became president in 1997. He has extensive design, estimating, and project management experience. Jeff received a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine and is a registered professional engineer. He serves on a variety of boards and was a past President of the Associated General Contractors of Maine. Jeff also served as the project manager for the new Brewster Hall Academic Building at Governor Baxter School for the Deaf on Mackworth Island in Falmouth. This complex project was completed in 2005 and achieved a rating of LEED Silver. The project was the first state-owned LEED project in Maine.
Manager of Finance & Administration
Jonica was hired as a bookkepper in 2013 and was quickly promoted to her current position. An accounting professional with 28 years of finance experience with payroll, human resources, month end and year end, auditing, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. A graduate of Mid State College in Auburn and a member of CFMA, Construction Financial Management Association.
